KiviDB 1.1.0 is a single Rust binary from KIVIDB PRIVATE LIMITED that speaks the Redis protocol on port 6380, runs commands on every core, and adds Redis Stack–style FT.* full-text and vector (HNSW and FLAT) search. Existing Redis clients and redis-cli work unchanged. It is AGPL-3.0; the README says using it as your database does not put your app under the AGPL.

How we tested. October 19, 2026, on an 8-core Linux box, release binary checked against its SHA-256. We ran 88 commands on KiviDB and Redis 8.0.2 and compared the replies: 87 matched. On the same box it served 3.9× Redis's pipelined GETs and 2.5× its SETs. HNSW search on 20,000 vectors hit 0.982 recall@10 at EF 64 and kept it after a restart. Then we fed it a Redis 8.0.2 dump.rdb. The full test is in the story.

Pro: A real drop-in for everyday Redis commands, with vector search in the same server and 2.4× to 3.9× Redis's throughput in our run.

Con: Loading a Redis 8.0.2 snapshot is not safe yet: a hash came back as a set of junk values, and lists and streams stopped it from starting. Persistence is off unless you turn on the AOF or save yourself.
